Special Order Products Policy Certain items including bedding and bedding accessories are special order products and are subject to a separate return and cancellation policy. Any product subject to this policy is so noted on the particular product's web page. We must enforce this policy because we do not stock these items and they are ordered on a per-customer basis. Although these special order items can take up to 8 weeks for delivery (delivery time is noted on the particular product page), we must charge our customer's credit card at the time that an order is placed with us. All returns and cancellations are subject to a 30% special order restocking fee. To avoid any restocking fee, an order must be cancelled prior to the order being placed with the manufacturer. All personalized items are non-returnable, non-exchangeable and cannot be cancelled once an order has been sent to the manufacturer. Returns and Exchanges Sometimes you get something you really didn't need or already had. That's why we make it easy for you to return your items. All that you have to do is call our customer service department within 30 DAYS of receipt of your package. Our customer service agents will assign to you a Return Authorization Number (RAN) which allows us to keep track of the return. Please understand that we can only accept items for return or exchange that are in their original/resaleable condition and that have received a RAN. Any items returned dirty, washed, or used will not be eligible for refund and will be returned to the purchaser. You will have 60 days upon receipt of the product to send it back to us. We will refund 100% of the purchase price of the item(s) only. Shipping costs and gift-wrapping are not refundable. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is damaged or defective. All special order items (items that are ordered especially for you and usually take 4-8 weeks for delivery) are subject to a 30% restocking fee. If you decide you would like to exchange a product that you ordered or that you received as a gift, the same rules apply as those above for returns. Damaged or Defective Items Nothing is more annoying that getting something that was damaged during shipping or something that doesn't work. At BabyUniverse.com, we strive to inspect each item prior to it leaving our warehouse. If an order arrives at your door damaged, broken or defective, we will either replace the broken parts if possible or ship out a new one completely at our expense. Credit and Return Time Please give us some time to process your return/exchange. It takes about 10 business days for us to receive the returned or exchanged product back from you. Within 72 hours of receiving the item back in our warehouse, you will receive an e-mail that reflects that your credit card has been credited. All refunds granted are for the purchase price of the product only and can only be issued to the credit card used at purchase. Shipping and gift-wrapping costs are refundable only if a product arrives damaged due to shipping or is defective.
