245 Sycamore St Brookville, Oh 45309 Phone - 937-833-2375 Fax - None Available Brookville was first established in 1832 when Warren Estabrook opened a general store just north of the present-day intersection of Main and Wolf Creek Streets. This small community began to grow in 1844 when the Wolf Creek Turnpike was opened from Dayton to Brookville. Due to the community's continued growth, Brookville's 425 citizens decided to incorporate in 1874. In 1900, the population was 869; in 2000 the population was 5,289. Brookville is now a city less than 10 miles northwest of Dayton, with easy access to interstate highways 1-70 and 1-75. The Brookville Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary organization with a purpose to unite the area's business and professional individuals to help improve and support businesses within the Brookville area. Its membership works to improve professional, ethical and physical standards; to assist new and existing businesses in their growth, and to encourage new businesses. The Chamber works toward building a stronger community by improving communication and cooperation between the public and private sectors.The Brookville Chamber of Commerce is a member of the Miami Valley Chamber of Caucus and the Southern Ohio Chamber Alliance, (SOCA).
